Two years ago we embarked on a journey, maybe a bit earlier to draft the project. We were 8 partners, Smart Idea from Slovenia, 7 Marsi from Macedonia, Jumpin Hub from Portugal, Colegio Seneca from Spain, Associazione Inco from Italy, Codec from Belgium, CEBDER from Turkey, and us, XUL Foundation from Spain, who have coordinated the project in the best possible way.
It seems like yesterday when we saw each other’s faces for the first time, some of us already knew each other… others, like me, were starting a new journey, with thousands of doubts but at the same time excited… Why? When my coordinator, my boss, told me about this project for the first time, I was excited …. An educational project on how to prevent the lack of interest in reading?
I am interested! Since I was a child I have read, I have seen my parents read, I have had teachers who I admired and who introduced me to the fantastic world of reading and writing.
I have been fortunate to have had great references around me… but I don’t want to be selfish and keep everything I have learned just for myself, reading is fundamental for your day to day life, it brings many positive things that my partners will now discover little by little thanks to the great project we have carried out.
Just as I was and am fortunate, I want to contribute and that together and with our grain of sand, we can help and be, between all of us, a reference for young people.
